TILT's Mission and Vision

Mission Statement: The Institute for Learning and Teaching advances research, promotes effective practices, and provides direct support to faculty and students to enhance learning, teaching, and student success.

Vision Statement: TILT works to achieve its mission within the Colorado State University community by creating and supporting collaborative programs, initiatives, and activities among students, faculty, and staff in the divisions of Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Enrollment and Access.

TILT's key internal partners are the Center for Advising and Student Achievement (CASA) and the Transfer Student Center. Operating under the three cognizant VPs and with the advice of the University's Distinguished Teaching Scholars, the Institute's Director, the Director of CASA, the Director of the Transfer Center, and the Institute's program staff collaborate in the pursuit of a shared mission to enhance learning, teaching, and student success at Colorado State University.

In pursuit of this mission, the associated programs also engage in partnerships with other units across the University. External partners include, but are not limited to, the Colleges and the Libraries, the Career Center, the Division of Continuing Education, the Graduate School, Student Affairs, Athletics, Research and Outreach, and various tutorial and assistance programs.
