BioScience Education Network is an extremely useful web-based resource for biology educators. From the BEN library portal,users can access the National Science Digital Library (NSDL) Pathway for teaching and learning in the biological sciences. This library provides access to over 8,000 resources. It is managed by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). Site registration is required, but currently free.
From this web link, users can access The Journal of Microbiology & Biology Education (JMBE)(formerly titled Microbiology Education) as well as over 2000 other original peer-reviewed resources for teaching. JMBE is published by the American Society of Microbiology. Readers can get lots of teaching ideas and resources at this website. The journal and curriculum activities require a small subscription, but the visual resources are free.
