Communication Monographs is devoted mainly to scientific and empirical investigations of communication processes. Historically, the journal has reported original research grounded in theory dealing with human symbolic exchange in varying social contexts. The Web site for the journal notes that it "will continue to do so."
Computer-Mediated Communication Magazine provides insight into views and issues about the online world through its monthly magazine archive plus current news feeds.
Articles published in JCMC focus on theory and research in the field of computer-mediated communication. No one discipline, and no single methodology is viewed as inherently superior. Research based in any of the social sciences is welcome. Articles typically join theoretical analysis with empirical investigation, and/or incorporate demonstration or simulation.
A publication of the Association for Advancement of Computing in Education, the Journal of Educational Multimedia and Hypermedia (JEMH) is "designed to provide a multi-disciplinary forum to present and discuss research, development and applications of multimedia and hypermedia in education."
